I am a total thrift store addict. So much so that I often purchases pieces as ‘projects’ that never leave the bottom draw…
This time though, I actually did it! Check out these simple steps for spicing up a second-hand item or your wardrobe.
Cute shirt-style, purple dress with palm tree pattern found in thrift store for $5.00

To spice things up, add my favourite current trend -studs!

Studs purchased from Etsy (Miniature Sweet) here $2.50 + shipping for 50 studs.
Place studs on the dress where you would like them. Create balance by adding them to both the collar and bottom hem line.

Place studs in diamond shape on each side of the collar. Add them in columns of differing height to the bottom hem line so that they create a line up the front of your leg.

Simply press them in yourself (no machine required), folding the two points at the back of the stud in i.e. so that the stud is held firmly into pl

PS: Whoever said gold and silver doesn’t know s****!
The studs used are a mixture of both and they look great. However, keep each colour together i.e. do not alternate between silver and gold within the columns by the bottom hem line. Each column is entirely silver or gold.
Me rocking the dress with stacks of bracelets!
